What is the format of an MER conference? Do your conferences use live speakers?

 MER’s conferences consist of half-day morning sessions taught by well-respected physician specialists. All of MER’s conferences are live lectures with sufficient time for questions and answers. Additionally, all of our speakers are available after the lecture for additional questions. Ski conference schedules differ from the standard MER schedules. Each conference agenda is available on our website.

What happens to my registration fee if I need to cancel my registration?

Within 7 Days of the date of registration, you may cancel your conference registration and receive a refund of the registration fee minus a non-refundable $50 processing fee.  After 7 days from the date of registration, the registration fee minus a $50 processing fee will appear as a credit within your profile that you may apply toward a future conference.  Credits expire one year from the date of issue.  Credits applied to a future conference are non-refundable.  Cancellations will not be accepted beginning 7 days before the conference start date.

 

 

How many credits are offered at a conference?

·       All MER conferences offer either 11, 14 or 17 credits. Our 3-day conferences offer 11 credits, our 4-day conferences offer 14 credits, and our 5-day conferences offer 17 credits.

·       Please note that beginning July 1, 2018, the number of credits offered at each conference will increase to 12, 16, and 20 credits for a 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day conference, respectively.

How do I claim my CME credits?

All MER participants are required to check in, claim their conference materials and receive a name badge when they first arrive at an MER conference. The conference materials include an evaluation form. Participants are required to attend the educational sessions and complete the conference evaluation form to receive CME credit. At the conclusion of the activity and upon completion of the conference evaluation form, you will be given a CME certificate.

I am a nurse practitioner certified by The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Will I be able to use the ANCC credit you offer?

 Yes. The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Certification Board recognizes and accepts continuing education (CE) contact hours from activities approved by AMA, ACCME, ANCC, AANP, AAFP and AACN.

How do I take advantage of your reduced hotel rates?

For each MER conference, a hotel room-block is negotiated at a reduced rate for conference participants.  Reservations for hotel accommodations may be made at the reduced rate through the reservation link listed under Hotel Reservation Information associated with the conference on the MER website. Reservations can also be made within our negotiated room block by calling the hotel directly and using the group code provided under Hotel Reservation information associated with the conference on the MER website. Please contact the MER office for conferences that do not yet have a reservation link or group code.

Space is limited in our negotiated room-block. Early reservations are recommended to ensure accommodations at these popular properties. Availability and rates are subject to change once room-blocks are filled.

Due to the popularity of many of our conferences and hotel properties, we may not be able to guarantee hotel accommodations. Please book your reservation as soon as possible.

Do I have to stay at the conference hotel?

No. You are not required to stay at the MER conference hotel. At most MER conferences, breakfast is included in the meeting room each morning for all participants. At a few of our conference hotels, breakfast is included in the hotel room rate, and we do not provide a separate breakfast for those not staying at the conference hotel. Conferences in which breakfast is included in the room rate are designated on our website.

How do I take advantage of your early bird registration rates?

To be eligible for the early bird rate, registrations must be confirmed by MER at least 60 days prior to the start of the conference.

I did not receive a receipt for my registration. What do I do?

A receipt is automatically sent to the registrant email on file upon registration. If you are unable to locate your receipt, a duplicate can be found in your MER profile under transaction history. If you prefer, you may also contact the MER office by phone or email, and we will gladly forward you a copy of your receipt.

Will you send me more details about the conference as we get closer to the date?

MER will send you an email with details about the hotel, conference room, schedule and MER on-site representative approximately 30 days before the conference start date.  However, you are always welcome to contact MER by phone or email if you have additional questions.
