What is the format of an MER conference and do you use live speakers?

MER conferences consist of half-day, morning sessions taught by well-respected physician specialists. All of MER’s conferences are live lectures with sufficient time for questions and answers. Ski conference schedules differ from the standard MER schedules. Each conference agenda is available on our website.

Additionally, MER Live Stream is now available to registered attendees at all conferences, which may be viewed live or watched any time for up to three (3) days following the end of the conference.

What safety precautions will be in place on-site?

As we adjust to the current climate, we want to reassure you that we will be taking all necessary precautions to create a safe experience for you. In addition to working closely with each of our hotel partners to ensure we follow federal, state, and local guidelines, we will be taking steps of our own to ensure your safety onsite. Here are the changes you can expect to see:

  • Contactless check-in and breakfast
  • Social distancing within the conference room
  • Hand sanitizer at the registration desk
  • Additionally, we encourage you to wear a face mask and to not enter the conference space if you are feeling ill.

Do you offer a live stream/virtual option?

Yes. MER is now offering MER Live Stream, which gives all registered attendees the option to attend the conference virtually instead of sitting in the conference room. As a registered attendee, you can utilize MER Live Stream on any internet-capable device from wherever you are. MER Live Stream videos can be viewed live or watched any time for up to three (3) days following the end of the conference.

How does MER Live Stream work?

As a registered attendee, you will receive a link to each day of the MER Live Stream in your Conference Content within your MER Conference History three (3) days prior to the start of the conference. Via the MER Live Stream, you will able to:

  • Watch the live conference from wherever you are on any internet-capable device, whether that’s your hotel room, your home, or a pool chair.
  • Pause, rewind, and jump back to live during the live conference.
  • Replay/watch the stream for three (3) days after the conference.

How do I sign up for just MER Live Stream?

MER is now offering a live stream option for all upcoming MER Primary Care Conferences. Simply register for your desired conference as usual and MER Live Stream instructions will be delivered to the email address on file three (3) days prior to the conference start date.

How many continuing medical education credits are offered at each conference?

All MER conferences offer either 12, 16, or 20 continuing medical education credits. Our 3-day conferences offer 12 credits, our 4-day conferences offer 16 credits, and our 5-day conferences offer 20 credits.

How do I take advantage of your early bird registration rates?

To be eligible for the early bird rate, registrations must be confirmed by MER at least 60 days prior to the start of the conference.

How do I take advantage of your reduced hotel rates?

For each MER conference, a hotel room-block is negotiated at a reduced rate for conference participants. Reservations for hotel accommodations at the reduced rate may be made through the reservation link listed under “Hotel Reservation Information” associated with each conference on the MER website or by calling the hotel directly and providing the MER group code. Space is limited in our negotiated room-block. Early reservations are recommended to ensure accommodations.

Due to the popularity of these programs and facilities, we cannot guarantee hotel accommodations. Hotel rates are subject to change.

Do I have to stay at the conference hotel?

No. You are not required to stay at the MER conference hotel.

Where can I find a receipt for my registration?

You will not be required to sign in each day. Registered attendees who prefer to join the conference virtually using MER Live Stream may verify attendance via a sign-in link provided in the description of each MER Live Stream video. At some conferences, breakfast is included in the hotel dining room as part of the room rate for attendees staying at the conference hotel.  Those conferences are designated on our website.
